Easter Unwrapped

previous post: Last Time…

  1. Chris wins.

Let’s go with the KJV verses:

“Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt. For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses. Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in bruising thy teats by the Egyptions for the paps of thy youth.”

I added verse 23, as well. The whole story is pretty sexually descriptive, but it’s a parable about Jerusalem and Samaria getting caught up into a lustful and consumerist society and being destroyed by other cities after their values and economy are trashed, and being seen for the “whores” that they are. Sounds kind of like another nation I know…

  2. France?

  3. The bible is my second favourite work of fiction – the first is Harry Potter.

  4. How dare you insult the Holy Scripture?! Harry Potter is real!

  5. Bryan’s isn’t lame, it was deliberate?!

  6. That passage perfectly describes my kind of woman.
