^ I’m unfriending anyone who likes this spam.

  3. OP is a closed minded bigot.

  4. If you keep unfriending people, it’s your own fault if you get raped.

  5. Haven’t you heard of respecting other peoples’ opinions, OP?

  6. It’s not enough to live and let live anymore.

Tolerance fascists have upped the ante to support. If you don’t change your fb profile picture to a blue and yellow equal sign, you’re a homophobe.

Stay tuned, kids. Next will be “anyone dude who doesn’t wanna suck my cock…”

What gets me is that virtually everyone has bought the premise that government has any standing in the issue. Marriage is a religious covenant, so why does ANYONE need to apply to the state to get married?

If a smile and a wave ain’t good enough and you find yourself demanding validation, then your life ain’t worth shit. Fuck you.

Other than that I have no opinion on the matter….

  7. Snap, lemme explain something to you. Gay people don’t need validation from you. They probably don’t give half a shit what you think.

The fight for gay marriage is a pragmatic one. Think of what a married couple can do: if one of the couple has health insurance, the other can get on the plan. If one dies, the other can inherit their property without a huge tax. For fuck’s sake, a gay couple can be together for decades, yet if one of them dies the other can’t even hold a funeral!

So, in short, gay people don’t want your validation. They just want the same rights you do.

^ There are laws in place to allow those opportunities for unmarried couples, as well. There are a few states left that don’t honor domestic partnerships, but most do, and most insurance companies support domestic partnerships. If one major partner in the household doesn’t work, then they can still receive insurance provided they can prove their residency and financial dependence on the other partner(s).

^ And “unmarried” couples doesn’t necessarily mean heterosexual couples, or even involved couples. One can claim insurance benefits for a live-in nanny that is not paid, or even a mother-in-law who lives with her daughter-in-law after the daughter-in-law loses her husband for the purpose of tending children while the daughter-in-law works full time.
