From what I’ve heard, the pain of childbirth isn’t comparable to being kicked in the testicles, but to passing a kidney stone.
I have never done either, so I really wouldn’t know.
I will say this, though: Birth is painful because of the way our species built. We have small pelvises and give birth to babies with large heads. Our biology just hasn’t caught up to our requirements yet. Women forget about the pain because we all forget about how much something hurts over time. And it wouldn’t be good for the species if women didn’t.
