There is fucking nothing cosmopolitan about knowing how to order at Starbucks. The word “cosmopolitan” means familiarity and ease in many countries and cultures, and there is very little that is multicultural about Starbucks.
Even if you go with the definition of cosmopolitan that I think this poster is getting at, which I assume is something about being a hip and savvy city dweller…it’s fucking Starbucks. They have Starbucks franchises in strip malls in the suburbs.
