What’s with the Helen Keller jokes? Being a kangaroo rider, I’ve only heard of her through jokes on the internet.
As far as I know, she was a blind deaf woman who became a successful writer over 100 years ago. As much as I’m down with pickin on the retards, why her?
She was the first blind and deaf person to be able to successfully communicate with other people and therefore pave the way for others to do the same – giving her a fair bit of fame.
Secondly, what other blind and deaf people do you know of who are famous? I don’t know anyone else famous who is blind and deaf, so Helen Keller is a pretty easy reference for a joke.
